Pahuatlán, its name means Place of Fruits, is one of the 217 municipalities of the state of Puebla, its main historical monuments are the parish temple of Santiago Apóstol, from the 16th century and the Statue of General Leandro Valle, it has a house of culture where paintings and literature are found, on June 25 the Patron Saint of Santiago Apóstol is celebrated and on January 28 a civic festival in memory of General Lechuga is celebrated, among its tourist centers they have the Chistla River, in addition there are cave paintings themselves that are found among the towns of Atla and Xolotla, the caves of Los Angeles Tlacuilotepec, Saltillo and Cazones, a Hanging Bridge in Xolotla and archaeological ruins in Saltillo.
