Tecomatlán is one of the 217 municipalities into which the Mexican state of Puebla is divided. It is located in the south of the entity, its name means "next to or near the tecomates or tree vases", its main architectural monument is the Church parish (of Spanish baroque art), which dates back to the 15th century, Ash Wednesday is celebrated with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks, dances and dances, such as the “Tecuanis”, “Vaqueros” and “The twelve pairs of France", June 29, Saint Peter's Day, dance of "Los Jolos", for tourists who have the spa recreational center "Itzcoatl", it is a quite pleasant place located on the banks of the Mixteco River and at the foot of the center called "Itzcoatl ”.
