The Parish Church is a colonial-style religious building dedicated to Saint John the Baptist and dates back to the 19th century.

Teotlalco is one of the 217 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Puebla, it is located in the extreme southwest of Puebla. Its name means “In the lands of God or sacred”, also “Desert of flat land”, the main architectural construction is the 19th Century Parish Church, dedicated to San Juan Bautista and the cave painting in the Cueva de los Monos, close to the town, the celebration of the patron saint's day on January 5 to commemorate San Juan Bautista, there is a fair, bullfight, dance of the “Zopilotes” and the “Turtle” on June 24, San Juan Bautista is also celebrated.
