This house stands in the main square of Tepeaca, in the place where legend has it that Hernán Cortés lived and wrote his Second Letter of Relation in 1520. The current building is a later one, from the 18th century, with a single floor, a façade made of Talavera brick in the Mudejar style and jambs and lintel on the main door, a style typical of Puebla's Baroque. The House of Cortés is not open to the public.
