Tlaltenango is a municipality in the state of Puebla, its name comes from the Nahuatl word composed of tlalli, land; tenamitl, wall, wall, fence or corral, and co, in; complex that means "In the walls or walls of earth", has a beautiful Parish Church dedicated to San Pedro built in the 16th century, located in the center of Tlaltenango and from which the celebration of the patron saint starts on June 29 , they also celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe with great solemnity on December 12, with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks, popular and native dances, bricks and tiles are made in the region
