The Church of San Gabriel was built on May 6, 1846 in the 18th century. It is located in the center of the municipal capital and remains open 365 days a year.

Municipality

Tulcingo is a municipality in the state of Puebla (central eastern Mexico). Its name comes from the Nahuatl: tolli-tzintli-co, "tule-small-place, its main architectural construction is the Church of San Gabriel, built on May 6, 1846 in the 18th century and from which the San Gabriel festival begins on March 24, the regional fair on March 19, in the neighborhood of San José, in the town of Tulcingo, there are two tourist centers where people continually attend : Spa Rancho Altamira, which is located at an approximate distance of 20 minutes by vehicle, and Balneario Rodríguez, which is located a few blocks from the center of the municipal seat.

Festivities

On March 24, the feast of San Gabriel, there are masses, cockfights, folk dances, and a regional fair; on March 19, in the San José neighborhood, there are masses and bullfights; on January 12, in the Las Flores neighborhood, they celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe with prayers, "Toritos" and Mexican snacks; on May 3, in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, there are masses; on September 29, in the San Miguel neighborhood, they organize bullfights; on December 30, they honor Don Bonifacio Valle, because it is a day when many students spend their vacations in the town.
