The Chapel of Candelaria used to be a private house inhabited by an elderly woman. The lady used to pray the Angelus and at the end kiss the floor she walked on, as a way of thanking God for the infinite kindnesses he had shown her. One day when she finished kissing the floor, she looked up and thought she had seen the Virgin of Candelaria drawn on the wall. After this event, the chapel was built, where the Virgin is venerated every February 2nd.
