Municipality

Atzala is one of the 217 municipalities of the Mexican state of Puebla, it is located in the southwest of the entity and is part of the Nexapa River basin, which comes down from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The climate is warm, with rain in summer. and autumn, it has religious buildings such as the church of Santiago Apóstol, dating back to the 16th century. The patron saint's day is July 25 in honor of Santiago the Apostle.
