Zinacatepec is one of the 217 municipalities that make up the state of Puebla, its Nahuatl name comes from "tzinacan", bat, "tepetl", hill, and "c", in; which gives us "on the hill of the bats", it has various architectural monuments such as the Parish Church dedicated to San Sebastián dating from the 16th century, which precedes a tree-lined and landscaped patio with a crenellated wall of inverted arches, the chapel of Soledad, dating from the 19th century, from which the celebration of the patron saint of the place begins on January 20: San Sebastián, with processions, cowboy dances, fireworks and traditional bands and popular dance.
