Zoquitlán is one of the 217 municipalities that make up the state of Puebla, its name comes from the Mexican words that mean "between the mud or swamp, a place full of silt", its main architectural construction is the church of San Pablo erected in the 16th century, with the Effigies of San Pedro and San Pablo carved in wood, its main celebration is on January 25 in honor of the Patron Saint Paul, with masses, dance of "los negritos" (It is an allegory), dance of "los Santiagos" and a regional fair, for ecotourism they have the waterfall in the auxiliary board of Xitlama, the waterfalls in the mountain and the Coyolapa River
