This building, built by Refugio Reyes in 1916, is eclectic in style with a marked neoclassical influence and a French look. It is located in the center of the city on the Andador Juárez. The La Gardenia store was located here, and it was the Progreso Hotel, where the writer from Aguascalientes, Zeferino Mares, died. In 1984, the State Government rescued the property, restored it and created the current bibliographic collection center.
