The Hacienda dates back to the 19th century and covered an area of almost 6,000 hectares. It was originally owned by María Aldana de Camarena, but in 1898 it was put up for auction, passing into the hands of Mr. José Luis García Rojas and Mr. Guadalupe González. It had access to the waters of the Chicalote River, the dams, the boundary and the triangle. More than 500 people lived on its land.
