The municipality of Cosío is located in the north of the state of Aguascalientes, on December 28, 1857 it took the name of Cosío, in honor of Felipe Cosío, it has several historical attractions such as the monuments to Benito Juárez, in the main square, to Venustiano Carranza, in the garden of the same name and finally Professor Catarino Rubalcava, highlights among its architecture the temple dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, built between 1930 and 1933, the buildings of the Natillas haciendas which is in colonial style and La Hacienda de La Punta, from December 25 to 31 the fair is held in honor of its patron saint, San José
