Hacienda Mesillas is located in the municipality of Tepezalá and is reached via Highway 45 North towards the Delicias Valley. The hacienda was part of Miguel Rul's estate at the end of the 18th century, along with Ciénega Grande, La Punta and San Jacinto, the latter of which was originally one of his most productive ranches. In the community of El Puerto de la Concepción, the patron saint of this town, San Pascual Bailón, is celebrated and the "dance of the feathers", a traditional dance of the region, is performed.
