Municipality

The municipality of Acateno is located in the northeast of the state of Puebla, it has an iconic construction of the region which is the Temple of San José, which dates back to the 16th century. It is located in the municipal seat and from which the Patron Saint Festival of March 19 begins, it is celebrated with huehues dances, mass and prayers, a fair with jaripeo, fireworks, mechanical games, for 3 days, there are vestiges of pyramids called the Torres in the town of Jiliapa, as well as in the Tlacuilolapan river, there are caves with rock paintings and a tepetate bridge, they have an approximate distance from the municipal seat of 3 kilometers.
