The Vallecito Site Museum is a place with a great diversity of rock art created by the ancient Kumiai, such as mortars, rock paintings with geometric, zomorphic and anthropomorphic figures.

Tecate is one of the 5 municipalities that make up the state of Baja California, the meaning of the word Tecate is unknown and it is only known that this place was named after its indigenous inhabitants, it has various tourist and historical places such as the Railway Station , the Malta factory, the former headquarters, the Gilbert Ranch house, the Municipal Palace, the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the first temple, built in 1931, a museum in the municipal seat, there are cave paintings, the forest and the Tecatens countryside famous for its beautiful views.

Festivities

The industrial, agricultural and commercial fair "Tecate en Marcha" is held annually in the month of August. Here the products produced in the municipality are exhibited. The festival called Romería de Verano is traditionally held in the center of the city since 1955 in front of the Guadalupe Church.
