Solidaridad is one of the ten municipalities that make up the state of Quintana Roo, the name of this municipality is a recognition of the social participation of the people of Quintana Roo, it has various options for tourism such as the Monument to Mestizaje in Akumal, archaeological remains in Tulum, Cobá, Xcaret, along the coast there are archaeological remains of the Mayan civilization, the main destinations are Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cobá, Xcaret, Akumal, Puerto Aventuras, in July the Virgin del Carmen, patron saint of Playa del Carmen, is celebrated, where the municipality organizes a fair called Expocar.
