Atlangatepec is one of the 60 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Tlaxcala. It is located in the north of the state and approximately 25 kilometers north of the city of Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl, its name comes from Nahuatl and is interpreted as: "Hill of the Waters Downwards", it has various historical buildings such as the Convent of San Juan Bautista built in 1574, various Haciendas dating between the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as being part of the tourist route "Tlaxco and the North" where you can find the Laguna de Atlanga, in the municipal seat religious activities are held in honor of the Patron Saint of the Town, San Juan Bautista, the celebration begins ten days before June 24
