Municipality

Calpulalpan is a city and capital of the municipality of the same name, in the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico, its name is interpreted as "Place of Large Houses", it has various historical buildings such as the Church and convent of Calpulalpan, San Simon and San Judas, the Chapel of the Third Order as well as various archaeological sites to visit such as La Herradura, Tecoaque, Los Cerritos and the haciendas of Amantla, Coesillos, Mazapa, San Bartolomé del Monte San Cristóbal, San Miguel Calpulalpan, Zoaquipan, the patronal festival in celebration is in honor of the patron saint Saint Anthony of Padua, it begins with the novena.
