The former Franciscan convent of Our Lady of the Angels was built between 1564 and 1585, and is also known as the Padre Jesús convent. It is divided into a lower and upper cloister. The lower cloister, in which two buttresses frame an austere façade of the temple, typical of the Franciscan order, features raised semicircular arches on Tuscan columns and a posa chapel where the monstrance was placed during the Corpus Christi procession.
