The Iturbide Portal of Cuapiaxtla, according to the National Catalogue of Historical Monuments, this portal was built approximately at the end of the 19th century. It is located in the Plaza de la Constitución, on the corner of Iturbide. Its façade is yellow with multiple semicircular arches, supported by columns with octagonal shafts and, on the interior pillars, there are lanterns with a wrought iron base, topped with a panelled cornice.

The festival in honor of the patron saint, San Lorenzo Mártir, is important for its inhabitants. The celebrations begin 9 days before the main date, which is August 10. Daily masses are held in the morning and rosaries in the afternoon. At dawn, at 5 a.m., the procession arrives at the parish church. Later, the traditional "mañanitas" are sung by all the parishioners in honor of the patron saint. At 10:30 a.m., in the atrium of the church, the making of sawdust and flower carpets begins. At 12 noon, the main or festive mass is celebrated, officiated by the bishop of Tlaxcala, during which baptisms, communions and confirmations are held, and, as a final part, the great fair dance is held at 8:00 p.m. On the other hand, at 10:00 pm in the main square the fireworks display begins.
