Mazatecochco de José María Morelos is a municipality in the state of Tlaxcala, its name Mazatecochco translates as "in the hiding place or watering hole of deer", it has iconic buildings of the region such as the Parish of San Cosme and Damián dating from the 18th century, as well as for the visitor to the municipality of Mazatecochco de José María Morelos it is located within the tourist route "Cacaxtla Xochitécatl". This tourist route groups together the attractions of the southwest of the entity and has as its core the archaeological complex of Cacaxtla, one of the most attractive and interesting in the country.
