In the municipality, the patron saint of the town is celebrated: the Virgin of Guadalupe on December 12th. The celebrations begin the day before, at 8 pm, with a procession led by the Virgin of Guadalupe through the main streets of the town, accompanied by a band. Later, at 11 pm, the procession arrives at the temple. December 12th is the main day. In the early morning, at 3 am, "las mañanitas" are sung in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe, performed by the parishioners accompanied by a band, Teponaxtle and a rocket salute.
