Carnival in Santa Apolonia Teacalco takes place on Monday and Tuesday of Carnival. The dances begin on Monday around 11 in the morning at the representatives' house. The music that accompanies them is that of the "xochipitzhuak", a traditional wedding dance where the participants carry the metate, a supposed turkey, etc. In addition, for the dance, they consider dance pieces that the guests and those onlookers who were caught by them to dance will enjoy.
