Chietla is one of the 217 municipalities of Puebla. It is part of the Mixteca Poblana region, characterized by its warm climate and the flatness of its relief. It has various important constructions, including the Temple of San Francisco, dating from the 16th century. , which is located in the territory of the municipal seat, its festivals are celebrated on October 4 in tribute to Saint Francis and on August 28 the festival in honor of Saint Augustine, both dates are characterized by being accompanied by Tecuanis dances.
