Municipality

Chignautla is one of the 217 municipalities of the state of Puebla (Mexico), it is located in the northeast of the state where it has architectural monuments such as the Parish Temple in evocation of San Mateo, which was built in the 16th century, the Benito school Juárez and the Municipal Presidency, on September 20, the patron saint festival of San Mateo is celebrated, with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks and dances of Quetzalines, tocotines, Santiagos, los negritos and Huehues, as well as the spas of 9 springs, Cerro del Cristo and the humeros (sulfur hot springs).
