Municipality

Chinantla is a municipality in the state of Puebla, its name means "where cornfields abound" or "Where there are many fenced cornfields, its main historical monument is the Parish Temple, built in the 16th century, from which the most important festival begins. On January 25, the patron saint's holiday in honor of Father Jesus is celebrated with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks and dances such as: "Tecuanis"; "Doce Pares de Francia" and "Vaqueros", the one on March 21 is celebrated. to San José, May 5 to the Virgin of Light, April 20 to the Virgin of Guadalupe and May 15 to San Isidro Labrador.
