The Lacquer Museum of Chiapa de Corzo exhibits the collection of lacquer pieces belonging to the CDI, Mexico, with antique pieces dating back to 1921, originating in Chiapas, Michoacán and Guerrero. The Lacquer Museum is located within the building of the Ex Convento Santo Domingo Cultural Center, a historical monument dating back to approximately 1554. The building is decorated in Mudejar style, which is a combination of Arabic and Gothic styles.
