The Aluxes Ecopark in Palenque is a non-profit, non-governmental civil association based in Palenque, Chiapas. Due to the terrible destruction of ecosystems in recent years and with the hope of being able to rescue the beautiful Chiapas ecosystem, Aluxes was created. They began by planting more than 10,000 trees on the property along with other plants to complement and balance the new ecosystem. Along with this process, the natural wetlands of the property were rehabilitated and the lagoon system was reintroduced.
