The Arenas El Gancho Tourist Center in Suchiate is an open beach on the sea side and with an estuary full of mangroves, which grow within the semi-salty to salty water, with strong waves and long stretches of fine golden sand where a gentle breeze rises that refreshes the environment and makes it conducive to the practice of sports activities, it can be visited all year round.
The Municipality of Suchiate is a Mexican border municipality in the Soconusco region, state of Chiapas. Its name is taken from the Suchiate River that divides Mexico and Guatemala and comes from Nahuatl and its meaning is Water of Flowers. The main tourist attractions are the beaches of El Gancho, Santa Isabel, Brisas del Mar, the Barra de Suchiate and the riverbank of the same name, which has areas for recreational walks.
In Suchiate the most important celebrations are those of the Lord of the Three Falls and that of Saint Andrew.
