The municipality of Ocozocoautla de Espinosa is one of the municipalities into which the Mexican state of Chiapas is divided, it is more popularly known by the toponym of Coita, Ocozocoautla is of Nahuatl origin comes from the words okoshotl, ocozote (a certain textile plant) and kuautla, forest, that is, Forest of the Ocozotes, it has eco-tourist options such as the Cañón Río La Venta, museums such as the Museo Zoque Regional Javepacuay its festivals and carnivals among others.
