Maravilla Tenejapa is one of the municipalities that make up the state of Chiapas, Mexico, located in the Meseta Comiteca Tojolabal Region. On July 28, by decree promulgated by Governor Roberto Albores Guillén, the new municipality emerged. This municipality is surrounded by protected natural reserves, making it a very good option in terms of ecotourism in the region, referred to as the Cascades of the Clouds.
Festivals and traditions. The people of Tenejapa have deep-rooted traditions and their Sunday market is one of the most colorful and authentic in the region.
