The archaeological sites of Chilón, Mukana, Natentsun and Nachoj, located in the municipality of Chilón, in the north of Chiapas, represent a historical complex of relevance for its architectural and sculptural remains. Given that the few references that exist about these monuments are forgotten and dispersed, and even unpublished, a good way to resume the discussion about these archaeological remains for the current discussion is to gather and systematize the existing information in order to then try a new historical assessment of them in light of the latest ideas.
El Chilón is one of the municipalities into which the Mexican state of Chiapas is divided, it is located in the northeast of the state, its name means in the Tzeltal language, Land of Pitas, the main tourist attractions such as the Las Delicias waterfall formed in the Las Palomas River, in addition to the forests and the irrigation of blue waters as well as archaeological remains of the ruins of Naj-Tentzun and Naj-Choj, with respect to colonial monuments you can admire the churches of Bachajón and Chilón.
In Chilón the most important celebrations are those of the Holy Cross and the Virgin of Guadalupe.
