The María Félix Güereña Cultural House in Álamos is a building whose origin was a public prison since 1750, later it was built as can be seen today, today the building is a beautiful building with a U-shaped floor plan and an example of the austere Spanish and Mexican baroque style, built between 1757 and 1804 with exposed walls, settled with lime mortar, cataloged as a national monument by the INAH, an important architectural icon of the Colonial City of Los Portales and cultural heritage of the Alamo and Sonoran society.
