In August of this year 1997, a piece of fossil tree was located one and a half kilometers away from the municipal seat of Cuayuca de Andrade. Anthropologists from Mexico City have visited that place in order to analyze said piece or tree bark that is exhibited in the municipal presidency of the place.
Cuayuca de Andrade is one of the 217 municipalities of the Mexican state of Puebla, it is located in the south center of this federal entity, the most important construction that Cuayuca has is the Parish Temple dedicated to San Pedro Apóstol that dates back to the 16th century, of which on January 31 of each year is the celebration of the Religious Festival dedicated to Saint Peter, there are prayers, processions, flowers, masses, fireworks, mechanical games, jaripeo, music band, popular dance, the dances of the “ Twelve pairs of France” “Vaquero” and “Tecuanis”, this festival ends on February 2 of each year, one of the main tourist attractions is a piece of fossil tree a tree bark that is exhibited in the municipal presidency of the place
Every year, on January 31st, the religious festival dedicated to Saint Peter is celebrated. There are prayers, processions, flowers, masses, fireworks, fireworks, rodeos, marching bands, popular dances, and the dances of the “Twelve Pairs of France,” “Vaquero,” and “Tecuanis.” This festival begins on January 25th and ends on February 2nd of every year. During the celebration of the faithful deceased, they celebrate with bread of the dead, wax, and pumpkins. They place on a table everything that the deceased liked most in life. They also tend to keep vigil at the tomb of the pantheon for their deceased relatives. On June 29th, there is a religious celebration dedicated to Saint Peter with popular festivals, fireworks, rodeos, masses, prayers, and marching bands. Holy Week is celebrated with traditional devotion. On November 1st and 2nd, All Saints and All Souls are celebrated.
