Cuetzalan del Progreso's colonial-style central park, gardens and plazas. It is the most important point of the town and despite being located in a sloping area, its formation was achieved in a short space of time, equipped with terraces and steps. It has garden areas, benches and walkways; the most outstanding feature is its metal kiosk with a bell-shaped roof and a tower that houses the public clock. The latter is said to have belonged to the primitive temple of San Francisco.

Municipality

Cuetzalan del Progreso is one of the 217 municipalities in the state of Puebla (central-eastern Mexico) and is part of the Mexican tourism system known as Magical Towns. The Church of San Francisco, built in the 16th century, is an icon of this municipality. It exists in Yohualichan 3 hectares of reconstructed archaeological zones of Totonaca construction as well as collections of very old clay and stone figures in the "Calmahuistic" or regional museum. The first week of October the Coffee Fair and the Huipil Fair take place and Cuetzálan is by far rich and different, full of color, art, mysticism, finesse and grandeur, which arouses the interest of locals and strangers, It has a whole range of tourist attractions.

From July 15 to 18: Titular Festival in Yohualichan. From July 25 to 27: Festival of Santiago Yancuitlalpan. From September 27 to 30: Festival of San Miguel Tzinacapan. On October 4: Festival of the patron saint San Francisco. The Coffee Fair and the Huipil Fair are held during the first week of October.
