Domingo Arenas is a municipality in the state of Puebla, its name means “Below where there is land to make pots” or “Land of the potter”. Among its most important architectural monuments are the parish temple in dedication to San Simón Apóstol, from the 16th century and the Church dedicated or venerated to Santiago Chaltepeclapa, also built in the 16th century, whose festivities begin on October 28, a patron saint's day in honor. to San Simón Apóstol, with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks, music bands and native dances.
