Ahuazotepec is a municipality located in the northwest of the state of Puebla, its name means "On the hill of old oaks", the most important construction in the region is the 16th century Parish Church in honor of the Assumption of Mary, located In the municipal seat, from which the festival of August 8 begins, the apple fair is celebrated, which lasts 8 days in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin, with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks, popular dances, Coronation of the Queen, fireworks, Dances of "Tecuanis", and the "Twelve Pairs of France".
