Municipality

Ixtepec is one of the 217 municipalities belonging to the state of Puebla, in Mexico. It has traditional buildings, among which the parish temple in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption of Mary, built in the 16th century, located in the municipal seat, stands out. Its Municipal Palace also stands out under construction, its main holiday is August 15, the patron saint's day in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks, and dances of Quetzalines, fliers, weavers and huehues.
