Juan C. Bonilla is a municipality in the state of Puebla, its name means "water where snakes cling", its main historical construction is the parish church dedicated to San Mateo that dates back to the 15th century, it is located in the municipal seat, of the which part of the popular festival of September 21 is the patron saint's day, it is celebrated with masses, prayers and processions, fireworks, native dances and popular dances, the municipality has a House of Culture called Carmen Serdán, in which workshops are given of crafts.
