Nauzontla is a municipality in the north of the state of Puebla (Mexico), the iconic architecture of the place is the Parish Church dedicated to Santa María de la Natividad, dating from the 16th century. Located in the municipal seat, the most important thing is the image of Our Lady of the Nativity that is found in the main altarpiece, it was probably brought from Spain in 1527 by Franciscan missionaries, its patron saint's day on September 8, is celebrated with mayordomias , with dances such as the matlachines, bullfighters, the negritos, quetzales, fireworks, bands, jaripeos, dances, sporting events, processions, flower candles and liturgical celebrations
