The Chistla River is located in Zacapehuaya and Xolotla is located in San Pablito, municipality of Pahuatlán.
Pahuatlán, its name means Place of Fruits, is one of the 217 municipalities of the state of Puebla, its main historical monuments are the parish temple of Santiago Apóstol, from the 16th century and the Statue of General Leandro Valle, it has a house of culture where paintings and literature are found, on June 25 the Patron Saint of Santiago Apóstol is celebrated and on January 28 a civic festival in memory of General Lechuga is celebrated, among its tourist centers they have the Chistla River, in addition there are cave paintings themselves that are found among the towns of Atla and Xolotla, the caves of Los Angeles Tlacuilotepec, Saltillo and Cazones, a Hanging Bridge in Xolotla and archaeological ruins in Saltillo.
June 25, Patronal Feast of Santiago Apóstol, Solemn Commemoration of Holy Week with masses, prayers, processions, fireworks and dances beginning with the "Tocotines" or "Voladores" dance, which is danced to the sound of a reed flute called a chirimia and a small drum, "Quetzalines", "Tejedores" and "Huehues". Music bands perform in the municipal capital. Among the main attractions we find on January 28 a civic festival in memory of General Lechuga, Acatlaxquis dances and flying pole where one of the participants dresses as Malinche. On November 1 and 2, the "dead" are commemorated, with offerings and floral arrangements. Marriages are arranged by the parents. In San Pablito and although they marry in the Church, other ancestral ceremonies are performed. The witch doctor cures "evil eye", "eaten by water", "fright", "touched by the devil", "cold" and "heat". The "corn ceremony or dance" is also performed.
