The Aljojuca lagoon is actually a maar, at first glance it looks like a crater. To get to it there are 3 main roads: A dirt road, which can only be traveled by four-wheel drive trucks; the Atenco road from the neighboring town and a series of paths that make the descent a very pleasant experience. The road to the lagoon is very steep. Swimming in the lagoon is not recommended because it does not have a beach.
Aljojuca is a municipality in the state of Puebla, Mexico.
