The Teatro Principal, located on 8 Oriente Street in the Historic Center of the City of Puebla, was inaugurated in 1760 with a design similar to that of the old Mexico City Theater. In 1940 it was reopened with the exhibition of the play “Quién te quieres a ti” by the company of Isabelita Blanch. The Theater is one of the oldest theaters in America that is still in operation, considered a jewel for its rich architecture; which was designed by the Puebla native Miguel de Santamaría.
