Quimixtlán is one of the 217 municipalities that make up the state of Puebla, its name means: "place wrapped in clouds or under the envelope of clouds", the patron saint's day on June 24 in honor of San Juan Bautista and on December 12 in honor to the Virgin of Guadalupe, as the main tourist attraction it has the Patlanalán lagoon, located 15 kilometers from the municipal capital and the water sources of Tlamoloaxtla, it is located one hour from the capital, in that place there is a hatchery of rainbow trout and the Berrostitla.
