Construction of the temple began in the 16th century, going through four stages and being completed in the 19th century. The church is considered the ultimate expression of Mexican baroque and in 2011 it was named the most beautiful church in the state of Puebla.
San Andrés Cholula is a municipality in the Mexican state of Puebla, located in the central-western region of the same, it has various buildings and tourist attractions such as the Parish of San Andrés Cholula, the Archaeological Zone of Cholula, site museum, Church of los Remedios, Church of Santa María Tonanzintla, National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics, Church of San Francisco Ecatepec, among many, Cholula is best known as the city of 1000 churches, although it does not reach that number, it has a large number of churches currently standing and from which various neighborhood festivals are generated for the patron of the parish or temple.
