With a drop of approximately 60 meters in height, the “El Salto” waterfall is a place suitable for rappelling and family walks. It has an excellent view and pools of clean, crystal-clear water, since the streams in the area are kept free of wastewater discharges. The waterfall is located just 15 minutes from the Municipality of Aquixtla.

Aquixtla is one of the 217 municipalities of the Mexican state of Puebla, it is located in the north of the entity, its main architectural construction is the Parish Church dedicated to San Juan Evangelista, built in 1864, its Patron Saint's Day is December 27 to 2 of January, on the 27th in honor of San Juan, and on January 2 to Father Jesús de la Capilla, which are celebrated with masses, prayers, processions and dances of "Huehues", "Toreadores" and popular dances, counts for tourism, with a two-hit waterfall-shaped jump in the bed of the Cuautolanico River about 60 to 70 meters high, the jump is called "Salto de Tepexcanal".
