There is a swimming hole located 20 minutes away from the municipal seat of Tlaxco.

August 28 is the feast day dedicated to Saint Augustine, celebrated with dances, horse races, cockfights, fireworks, processions and folk dances, and commemorates Holy Week. November 1 and 2 is the celebration of All Saints and All Souls, with offerings and visits to the cemetery.
