Municipality

Atzitzihuacan, its name means Place of little water, is one of the 217 municipalities of the state of Puebla, it is part of the Mixteca Poblana region, of which it is its northern limit. It has various historical monuments such as the Parish Temple of Santiago, from the 16th century, which preserves the style of the time, its important festivals are January 6, Three Kings' Day; February 2, Candlemas Day; March 19, feast of Saint Joseph; July 25, patron saint's day, Lord Santiago Apóstol, and August 15, Ascension of the Virgin Mary.
