It is located 9 kilometers southeast of the city of Aguascalientes; known since the mid-17th century as San Nicolás Chapultepec, it was inherited by the priest Ignacio Rincón Gallardo at the end of the 18th century, in the mid-19th century it belonged to Colonel Francisco Flores Alatorre, husband of Josefa Rincón Gallardo.
